Hey everyone,

The other week, we deployed a hotfix for consoles that introduced a 100-mod limit to prevent stability issues. This meant that a small number of console players were unable to load saves that had more than 100 mods already enabled.

A follow-up fix has now gone live on consoles that will allow console players to load saves that previously had more than 100 mods enabled by disabling any mods previously active on those saves. This will give console players the opportunity to attempt to continue playing on these saves.

If you didn't have a save with more than 100 mods enabled on console prior to the last hotfix, this fix will not affect you!

Recommendations For Attempting to Load An Existing Save

When you’re modding a game, changes to some of the files mean that particular mods are required to be enabled to ensure your save still loads correctly. This hotfix also gives you the ability to re-subscribe up to 100 of the mods you previously had enabled. Should you opt not to re-subscribe to a particular mod, you might experience crashes and other gameplay issues.

While this fix aims to restore access to these saves, due to the nature of modding, you may still encounter instability. If you want to regain access to your save with some of the mods you’ve enabled previously and still remain under the 100 mod limit, the following mods tend to have a lower impact on saves.

We recommend trying to load a save without them first:

  • Dice skins
  • Face cosmetics
  • Mods that add items
